Irish Pro Finn Crockett has completed a transfer to the Dutch UCI Continental squad BEAT CC p/b Saxo for the 2027 season, leaving VolkerWessels Cycling Team after three years.
The move comes as VolkerWessels winds down after ten years, with BEAT CC p/b Saxo Bank recruiting Crockett alongside Belgian Siebe Deweirdt as early reinforcements for next year.
Finn is a super versatile rider who has shown he can contest wins in all kinds of different races, and also take those wins.
– Thijs Zonneveld, DS BEAT CC p/b Saxo
The 27-year-old claimed bronze in the Commonwealth Games road race for Scotland in 2022 before switching to Ireland in 2024 (having previously raced for Scotland and Great Britain).

His professional path has taken him through Ribble Weldtite (2022), a mixed 2023 that included AT85 Pro Cycling, Spokes Racing Team and Saint Piran, before settling at VolkerWessels from 2024.

Key results include victory at the 2022 Rutland–Melton CiCLE Classic, a stage win at the 2023 Rás Tailteann (riding for Irish amateur team Foyle CC), Stage 1 at the 2024 Tour de la Mirabelle, overall victory at the 2025 Kreiz Breizh Elites, and the 2025 Slag om Norg.
He has also collected stage podiums at races such as the Sibiu Cycling Tour and Flèche du Sud.
Crockett’s 2026 campaign with VolkerWessels has been quieter by his standards.
THIS YEAR’S BEEN A BIT OF A DIFFICULT ONE FOR ME WITH SETBACKS AND INJURIES.
I WAS STRUGGLING.
– Finn Crockett, BEAT CC p/b Saxo
Highlights include bronze at the Irish National Road Race Championships in late June and a strong, aggressive showing at the recent Grand Prix Cerami (1.2).
There he recovered from late mechanical issues (puncture and gear problems) to finish 13th, just five seconds behind winner Cériel Desal, after featuring in the decisive late moves.
He described it as “a little bit frustrating“ but noted the positive of feeling good again and being active at the front.

Other recent results include top-20 finishes in Belgian and Dutch one-day races earlier in the year, with consistent presence in Continental-level stage races and classics.
Looking ahead
Crockett is set to wrap up the season with the 2026 Eneco Tour (Tour of Holland 13th to 18th October), aiming to finish on a high note before the move to BEAT CC p/b Saxo.
I’m really looking forward to next year.
the ambition is high and i’m really excited to be part of it.
