Provincial road race championships return in late August and early September 2026, with three events sharing the same Sunday 30th and Ulster following a week later on Sunday 6th.
Munster Road Race Championships
Sunday 30 August 2026 | Whitechurch, Co. Cork
Blarney Cycling Club hosts the Munster titles on a 17-km lap based at Whitechurch Community Centre (T34 RR58). Sign-on is mandatory from 11:30 am, with the race starting sharp at 1:00 pm. The men’s and junior men’s race (C+, C1, C2, C3 and Junior Men) covers six laps.
Entry is €20 (plus booking fee) and is open to licence holders meeting Munster eligibility criteria (Munster-based clubs/teams, residents, or those with recent Munster connections).

Leinster Road Race Championships
Sunday 30 August 2026 | Clonard, Co. Meath
Clonard Road Club promotes the Leinster Championships on a fast, flat 12.5 km circuit. Sign-on opens at 10:15 am in Clonard Village Parish Hall, with racing starting at 11:00 am.
Men and junior men (C1, C2, C3 and Junior Men) contest six laps for a total of approximately 75 km.
Parking is available opposite the parish hall and on-street.

Connacht Road Race Championships
Sunday 30 August 2026 | Hollymount, Co. Mayo
The Connacht Road Race Championships double as the Sean Stagg Shield, a 90-km event starting at 11:00 am from Hollymount Community Centre (F12 HD42, open from 9:30 am) taking the riders on a challenging and scenic course.
The event also honours Seán Stagg’s contribution to local cycling.

Ulster Road Race Championship
Sunday 6 September 2026 | Killylea circuit
After last-minute roadworks forced the withdrawal of the original Lakeland CC venue, Armagh City Cyclists have stepped in at short notice to host the Ulster Championships as part of their planned event.
Racing takes place on the Killylea circuit. Entry details are still to be confirmed. Organisers acknowledge a clash with the end of Rás na mBan that may affect some women riders, but the date was the only viable option to keep the championship on the calendar.
Cycling Ulster has thanked both Lakeland CC for their preparatory work and Armagh City Cyclists for their rapid response.
The Ulster Championship Road Race will take place on Sunday 6th September, hosted By Armagh City Cyclists, on the Killylea Circuit using the same medal categories as the Ulster Time Trial and Criterium Championships.

Race 1, Senior Men, Junior Men – Starts at 9am and completes 4 Laps of our new longer Circuit (84 Mile/136km),
Race 2, M40 Men – starts at 9.05am and completes 3 Laps of our new longer Circuit (63 Mile/102km),
Race 3, M50,M60,M70 Men, Jnr Women, Senior Women, WM 40, WM 50 – Starts at 9.10am and completes 2 Laps of our new longer Circuit (42 Mile 68km)
Gold, Silver and Bronze will be awarded to eligible riders in each category providing the entry has been satisfied.
